Positioning Yourself On Webcam

You need to look your very best on webcam. Every second that you or your video look bad is another chance you give your customers to leave your room! All kinds of time and money have been spent just to bring each potential customer to your room - don't waste it!

 

Get Up Close & Personal! This is the optimum way to position yourself when you want to make personal connections with viewers. It’s perfect for addressing your regular customers. The camera is focused on the model’s face. Notice how the model seems very friendly, open, outgoing & interested in the viewer. She is looking directly at the webcam, smiling, & has no “dead air space” above her head.
Fun & Flirty, not too dirty! This is also a great position for the webcam. It’s a great position for webcam models who want to show a bit more of their body but recognize the importance of “eye contact” with the customer (aka the webcam). Notice how this still gives the appearance of interest in the viewer without being “too remote” to give them your full attention. As with above, she is centered on screen, smiling & looking into the webcam.
Emotionaly too distant You may think that this is a good position for a webcam, but it isn't. The main problem with this kind of webcam placment though is Emotional Distance: Avoid this position as often as possible. If you need to zoom out to show of your body, be sure to zoom right back in afterwards. Why? The model here is SOOO far away! If you & this model were in the same room & the same proximity as in this picture, you would have to yell at each other just to have a conversation! I would avoid this in VIP chat as well. Why? Being nude increases a visitor’s need to be nearer rather than farther away.
The Background that was more interesting than the distracted midget... This kind of setup is just plain wrong for many reasons. She's too far away creation emotional distance. She's too far off to 1 side, showing no care or concern for the customer. She's looking or perhaps talking to someone else in her room, ignoring the customer. Visitors are here to vie for your undivided attention, not your walls. Bored visitors will leave your room. Don't bore them!
